Our Homogeniser Rental Service

Smooth out your process by renting one of our stock homogenisers.

Supporting the hygienic, liquid processing industry for almost 50 years, we have an in depth understanding of the homogenisation market.  With this knowledge, we have identified a demand for support units to be made available on a hire basis.

Reasons to Rent

  • In an emergency: if your current unit has broken down, a rental unit will reduce production downtime whilst repairs are undertaken;
  • Try before you buy: if you are unsure whether the unit will fulfil your requirements, you can trial a unit before committing capex to a new machine;
  • Awaiting a new unit: in the current climate lead times from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can be lengthy, renting a unit mitigates the need to delay your production plans;
  • Research & Development: if you’re looking to diversify or expand your product range, you can utilise a rental unit to understand your new product and develop your process.

Devro are one of the world’s leading experts in the production of edible films and coatings, including collagen casing. From their site in Glasgow, Scotland, they undertake product research and development. We have serviced the machinery under a Service Contract at Devro’s R&D facility, for more than 24 years, whilst also sourcing and supplying new process equipment for them.

GEA Lab Homogeniser Panda+ - Homogeniser UKOur rental GEA Panda+ laboratory homogeniser is currently being utilised by Devro in the advancement of a new product. The new product viscosity was a concern for Global R&D Manager, Gordon Paul, at Devro in respect of homogenisation.

Gordon Paul, commented:

“The high viscosity of our new product gave us trepidations as to whether the product would successfully pump through the laboratory homogeniser. When Pete Morris, our Account Manager at Moody Direct, suggested that we trial a rental unit to aid our research, it was an easy decision to make.

Following commissioning of the rental unit, testing, and subsequent reconfigurations, it became apparent that the GEA Panda+ homogensier would be the ideal unit for our process. We will be retaining the rental unit until our new machine arrives, allowing us to continue our research without interruption.

Pete and the entire team at Moody’s have been a critical supplier to our process. Their professionalism and knowledge is why we have a long history with them and will continue to work together going forwards.”
