We are currently looking to recruit for the following roles: 

Plate Heat Exchanger Field Service Engineer

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license (essential)
  • Knowledge of mechanical / electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Ability to understand and follow written procedures
  • Work task can be of a physical nature – manual handling-
  • Requires a flexible approach to working hours – weekend work / weekday overtime and Nights out as and when required-
  • Prior experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given

Role:

Principle Duties

  • Repair, refurbishment and replacement of plate heat exchangers including complete packs, plates and gaskets;
  • Working on customer sites testing, removing, dismantling, re-assembling and re-installing plate heat exchangers;
  • Working at our workshops operating machinery, cleaning, testing and refurbishing plate heat exchangers;
  • Working and assisting other divisions of Moody Direct as and when required in satisfying both customer and internal requirements;
  • To ensure that all work is carried out safely and complies with all regulations including but not limited to Health and Safety at Work Act etc;
  • To ensure that agreed procedures are followed at all times;
  • To ensure the workshops are kept clean and tidy;
  • To ensure that Documentation, Timesheets and Expense Claims are completed and are submitted promptly and correctly to enable prompt invoicing or payment;
  • To play an active part in the development, promotion and growth of all divisions of Moody Direct.

Mechanical (Multi-skilled) Engineer

To carry out Service, Maintenance and Commissioning Work on Customers sites and in the Moody Workshops.

Key Tasks

  • To carry out Service, Installation, Re-location, Commissioning and Repair work within your skills and abilities. Focus on Centrifugal Separators with knowledge of Heat Exchangers, Homogenisers, Valves, Pumps, Fillers and other process and packaging equipment;
  • To develop good working relationships with your customers and colleagues and to promote the activities of Moody Direct;
  • To attend regular management meetings;
  • To maintain good communication with other Service staff.
  • To be included within the call rota;
  • To ensure all paperwork is fully completed, kept up to date and submitted promptly as required. Eg, Service Reports, Timesheets, Expenses.

The nature of this position may involve extensive travel, so a driving licence is essential.

Electrical Automation & Commissioning Engineer

This role will entail designing, assisting, supervising and commissioning of process and packaging equipment.

The primary key skill an ideal candidate would have is the knowledge of electrical control and automation systems used within the hygienic process and packaging industries.

Applicants must hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel extensively within the UK. Flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends is essential.

Qualified Welders

The purpose of this position is to build and install process and packaging plant and equipment items as detailed in schematic drawings provided by Project Engineers to food grade standards.

Key skills include welding of 316L 1.6 mm thick stainless steel tube using the TIG process. The position will also include additional duties and responsibilities when working away on site.

Applicants must hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel extensively within the UK. Flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends is essential.
