Service Engineer

The ideal Service Engineer candidate will be:

  • Hands on
  • Interested in mechanical engineering
  • Able to and willing to travel the entire UK
  • Willing to work antisocial hours, weekends and away from home

The role will include on-the-job training alongside our trained engineers. However, any previous mechanical engineering experience would be advantageous.

Once trained, principle duties will be to carry out service, maintenance and commissioning work on customer sites. Equipment will primarily include pumps, valves, heat exchangers, homogenisers, separators and fillers.

The successful candidate will also benefit from expenses, paid travel time, company phone, credit card and van. OTE upwards of £40k and will increase as knowledge and experience is gained through training.

Assistant NDT Engineer

The ideal Assistant NDT Engineer candidate will be:
  • Hands on
  • Interested in general engineering & NDT within the food and beverage industry.
  • Able and willing to travel around the south west of the UK
  • Willing to work weekends and away from home.

Key Tasks

  • To assist and carry out NDT Service & Inspection – work within your skills and abilities. Equipment will include Heat Exchangers, Tanks, Silos, VATS, Cookers, Cheese Tables & more.
  • To develop good working relationships with your customers and colleagues and to promote the activities of Moody Direct.
  • To maintain good communication with all other staff and colleagues
  • To ensure all paperwork is fully completed, kept up to date and submitted promptly as required. Eg, Service Reports, Timesheets, Expenses.
  • To be active in seeking out additional sources of revenue from our customers.
  • To develop new skills and undertake training to progress career development.
  • To keep abreast and up to date of developments within our industries by reading relevant industry journals and attending appropriate courses.
  • To undertake any other tasks that may be reasonably expected.
The role will include; on the job training, alongside our most experienced NDT engineer.
Once trained, main duties will be to assist our lead NDT engineers in carrying out liquid dye penetrant Inspection of tanks, silos, VATS & pressure  vessels on customer sites. There will also be full training given on testing and servicing of plate and tubular heat exchangers.
The successful candidate will also benefit from expenses, paid travel time, company phone, credit card, and use of company van.
Pay dependant on experience and knowledge.
Pay will increase once fully trained and experience gained.
