De Roma Ice Cream Turn to Alfred & Co to Expand Production

Based in the North West, De Roma Ice Cream Ltd is run by Anthony De Roma and his son Antonio. Carrying on the family business that his grandfather started in 1922, his hard work and determination have paid off as they scoop a ‘Diploma of Merit for Dairy Vanilla Ice Cream’ and ‘The Special Diploma of Merit for the Tiramisu Flavour Class’ in this year’s ICA National Ice Cream Competition.

Before the ICA Expo in February, Anthony was already looking to expand and knew that to do this he would need to invest in better equipment as their current continuous freezer would only output 300l/h at most.

They turned to Steve Henshall, Sales Manager at Alfred & Co, who had supported them with growth and diversification in the past.

Alfred & Co had in stock a refurbished Gram GIF600 continuous freezer, which would increase efficiency without breaking the bank. As Alfred & Co are the sole UK and Ireland agents for Gram Equipment, De Roma knew the freezer would be expertly serviced, installed and commissioned.
